December 27 – Be ye not slothful.

Our Father in heaven,
We praise You, we thank You, we appreciate You. We thank You so much for Your Word which You have given to us, Your Word which is so very complete, which is profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for training in righteousness, in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose and action, that we may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto every good work. Lord God, help us to abide in Your Word, help us to stick to it like gum to a shoe and not let go. Help us not to become indifferent and complaisant about You, not to become slothful or lazy, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promise. Lord God, Abba father, grant us the grace to live each day worthy of the calling wherein we are called, and knowing we cannot do it on our own, we thank You even now for Your Holy Spirit who You have sent to help us, to comfort us, to counsel us, to bring to remembrance the things the Lord Jesus hath said unto us, and we thank You for our Lord Jesus who is able to save all those who come to Him to the uttermost as He ever liveth to make intercession for us. Hallowed be Your Holy name our Father and our God in Jesus mighty name. Thank You Father, thank You our Lord Jesus, thank You Holy Spirit of God. We ask all these things with thanksgiving, in Jesus mighty, precious and glorious name we pray. Amen.
