January 8 - My Shepherd God

Our Father and our God,
Who dwellest in the heavens, hallowed be Thy holy name forevermore. O Lord God Almighty, we bless and appreciate You indeed for this day which You have made, which we can rejoice and be glad in, and do rejoice and are glad in it. Blessed be Thy holy name forevermore. Our Shepherd God, the good Shepherd who knoweth His sheep we bless and glorify You this day, thanking You: for making us to lie down in green pastures; for leading us beside still waters; for restoring our souls; for leading us in the paths of righteousness for Your name´s sake; for preparing a table before us in the presence of our enemies, for anointing our heads with oil that our cups runneth over; for comforting us with Your rod and staff when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, so much so that we fear no evil - blessed be Thy holy name forevermore. For Your goodness and mercy which follws us all the days of our lives, we are appreciative and pray dearest heavenly Father that we dwell forever in the house of the Lord in this age and that to come. In Jesus mighty and gracious name we pray, looking to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ forevermore, and the love of God, and seeking the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, even now and forevermore. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.
