May 3 – The fellowship of His suffering

Our dearest heavenly Father,
We thank You so much for today. We thank You for Your goodness and for Your faithfulness and for Your lovingkindness. King of kings and Lord of lords, we appreciate who You are to us, we thank You for You are the Great I am, the One who was and is and is to come. We love You Lord, knowing that Your thoughts towards us are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us a future, a hope and an expected end. We magnify Your holy name King of glory for all that You have done, all that You are doing and all that You are yet to do. Indeed O Lord, we will not be surprised by the fiery trial which is about to try us, as though something strange happened to us. We refuse to be taken by surprise O God, for our times are in Your hands, and can anything come to pass if the Lord has not commanded it? But we rejoice, inasmuch as we are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory shall be revealed, we may be glad with exceeding joy. We thank You for we know that when we are reproached for the name of Christ, that it is an indication of Your spirit of glory and of God that resteth upon us, and even though on their part, You are evil spoken of, on our part, You are glorified. God of all grace, You who hath called us into Your eternal glory by Christ Jesus, we pray, that after we have suffered a while, that You will make us perfect, stablish, strengthen and settle us. Lord God Almighty, be glorified forever and ever in our lives, even now and forevermore. In Jesus mighty and exalted name we pray with thanksgiving. Amen.
